About Ginny Whitney

Ginny has been a full-time real estate broker in southern York County for over two decades, bringing a wealth of experience and in-depth knowledge of the residential market to her clients. While she is relatively new to Legacy Properties Sotheby’s International Realty, Ginny has been affiliated with the Sotheby’s brand for more than 20 years. Her expertise in the York-Kittery-Eliot-Ogunquit area has made her a consistent multi-million dollar producer and one of the region’s top agents.

 

Originally from Duxbury, Massachusetts, Ginny attended Wheaton College before transferring to Tufts University, where she graduated cum laude with a double major in French and Elementary Education. Before launching her real estate career, she worked as a preschool and substitute teacher in the Kittery-York area. Having lived in York, Maine, for nearly 30 years, she has deep roots in the community and a strong understanding of the local lifestyle and housing market.

 

Ginny’s competitive edge comes from her strong work ethic, extensive training, and professional designations. She is an Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), a Graduate of the REALTORS® Institute (GRI), and one of only about fifteen certified e-PROs in York County—underscoring her commitment to staying current with technology in real estate. She has also completed a Virtual Assistant course to enhance her internet and digital marketing skills, ensuring she provides top-tier service to both buyers and sellers in today's market.
